This sample demonstrates how to show and hide grand totals and sub-totals, as well as modify their position in rows, columns, or both at runtime. Additionally, end users can specify and hide sub-totals for specific fields.
In this sample, you can control the position and visibility of grand totals and sub-totals by selecting options from the Totals dropdown list. The following options are available:
| Grand Totals Position | Allows you to display grand totals at the top or bottom of the row and column axes by selecting the appropriate radio button. Set the PivotViewDataSourceSettings->GrandTotalsPosition property to Top to display grand totals at the top, or Bottom to display them at the bottom. |
| Hide Grand Totals | Allows you to hide grand totals in rows, columns, or both by selecting the appropriate radio button options. Set the PivotViewDataSourceSettings->ShowGrandTotals property to false to hide all grand totals, or use ShowRowGrandTotals and ShowColumnGrandTotals to hide row and column grand totals separately. |
| Sub-totals Position | Allows you to display sub-totals at the top, bottom, or default position of the row and column axes by selecting the appropriate radio button. Set the PivotViewDataSourceSettings->SubTotalsPosition property to Top for top placement or Bottom for bottom placement. |
| Hide Sub-totals | Allows you to hide sub-totals in rows, columns, or both by selecting the appropriate radio button options. Set the PivotViewDataSourceSettings->ShowSubTotals property to false to hide all sub-totals, or use ShowRowSubTotals and ShowColumnSubTotals to hide row and column sub-totals separately. |
| Hide Sub-totals for Specific Field(s) | Allows you to hide sub-totals for specific fields in rows and columns by selecting the appropriate fields from the multi-select dropdown. Set the ShowSubTotals property to false inside the field definition for the desired field. |
